HUNDREDS more jobs are to be parent culled by Facebook's company Meta - just months after 11,000 staff were paid off.
Yesterday it was announced 490 roles in analytics, engineering, finance, marketing and sales will be axed by the corporation which also owns Instagram and WhatsApp.
A collective consultation process has begun and the precise number of redundancies will not be disclosed until that is complete.
As part of the process, Meta must inform the Government how many people are expected to be made redundant, as is mandatory for mass layoffs under Irish law.
The stated number of 490 affects full-time employees but not contract workers.
