BOO IS THE COLOUR

BOO is the colour and, after a blank more forgettable than amnesia itself, Chelsea's flops are out of credit on Billionaires' Row.

As autumn broke on the Dorset riviera in a concerto of thunderclaps, travelling missionaries from west London gave them the bird - and they deserved their send-off.

The Blues were not only goalless again, for long periods they were clueless and rudderless.

Even when they were dreadful last season, Chelsea still managed to win at the Vitality on Coronation Day.

While they were plonking a crown on King Charles, the Blues posted their only win in the last 12 league games of a dismal campaign on the south coast. Now they can't even put plucky Bournemouth away after spending £1billion in three transfer windows.

Yes, they were without 11 injured first-teamers here, including £115m record signing Moises Caicedo, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino had to fill the bench with two keepers and a posse of youngsters.
