BRIAN O'DRISCOLL wants nothing more than to see Johnny Sexton go one or two better than him in making a triumphant Test level farewell.
O'Driscoll got to sign off by winning the Six Nations trophy for the second time - and in the most dramatic of circumstances as Ireland defended their try line as if their lives depended on it at the Stade de France in March 2014.
Emotion spilled out of the world-class centre afterwards as he claimed he couldn't have wished for his Ireland career to end in a better way.
Yet Sexton's can end on an even higher note.
While the Six Nations clash with England is expected to be his last championship game, his playing days with Ireland won't end on Saturday whether the 37-year-old wins the second Grand Slam and fourth Six Nations title of his career or not.
There is still a fourth and final World Cup shot to come in the autumn and O'Driscoll would love to see his former Leinster and Ireland colleague finish off in the greatest style of all.
"It's very difficult to compare like for like I knew that it was my final game against France, that was going to be it," said O'Driscoll.
