LUTON TOWN captain Tom Lockyer reckons a fortnight without a game is just what his side need to learn the lessons from their first Premier League fixture.
The Hatters, relegated from the top flight 31 years ago, the year the Premier League was launched, were thumped on the South Coast, with Brighton scoring twice either side of Carlton Morris's penalty.
But there were positives mixed with the negatives on what was always going to be an emotional afternoon.
And with Saturday's clash with Burnley postponed while work at Kenilworth Road is completed, Lockyer is adamant there is time for manager Rob Edwards to work with his team on what went wrong in the curtain-raiser.
He said: "There were a lot of lads making their Premier League debut, lads who were not quite sure what to expect.
