A SURVIVOR of last week’s migrant boat tragedy claims “so many more” lives could have been saved.
At least 78 died when the ship capsized in the Mediterranean off Greece on Wednesday with many more feared missing – including over 100 children.
The crammed vessel was sailing from Libya to Italy when it was intercepted by Greek coastgaurds. Ayad, 24, from Syria, said small hands grasped at him as he swam for his life, adding: “I pushed them off. I think they’re dead.”
