PAEDO'S PUT OUT OF HOME

A DANGEROUS rapist deemed to have a high risk of re-offending has been booted out of his latest bolthole.

Locals in Thurles, Co Tipperary, protested this week over the presence of Dermot Murphy, 53, in their town.

The volatile child rapist, who we first exposed as living at a homeless shelter in Waterford last year, has since been living in a house in Thurles.

However, this week neighbours and angered locals learned of his presence and mounted a massive protest - even sticking a sign to his door that read: "Animal".

Gardai later arrived and escorted Murphy out of the house - where an angry mob of locals had gathered to see him off.

Neighbour Lauren McGrath, who staged the protest, told how she learned that Murphy, who moved in to the Gasworks estate in Thurles a number of months ago, was a child rapist. "He was straight across the way from my kitchen window. It's horrendous. We all have children," she said.
