A JAILED former police officer convicted of attempting to murder his girlfriend has been moved out of Salford’s Forest Bank prison following an investigation into allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a guard.
The staff member is said to have become close to James Riley, 28, who in January was jailed for 16 years and immediately sent to Forest Bank.
The M.E.N. has previously reported the guard was moved off his wing following complaints from colleagues.
Now prison sources have told the M.E.N. he has been moved out of the troubled jail.
