Armed cops hunt for 'danger' dog

POUCE CALLED AFTER ESCAPED ANIMAL BIT RESIDENT

ARMED police swooped on a quiet street as they hunted for an escaped dog after it bit a resident.

Several police cars attended Shakespeare Avenue in Millbrook, Stalybridge, at around 4pm on Sunday, where they attempted to catch the dog, believed to be a cane corso.

Residents told the M.E.N. that they had witnessed police attempt to immobilise the animal by tasering it, but it 'still ran off up the road! "There was another policeman at the end of the road shouting at people to stay in their houses - he shouted at us to stay in our car," one said.
