Bridgework is dust a nuisance, claim residents

RESIDENTS living near to the M67 have claimed their cars have been left covered in dust due to the ongoing major bridge demolition works.

A section of the M67 has been closed recently while work was carried out to replace the St Anne's Road bridge above the carriageway in Denton.

It is part of National Highway's major 'bridge replacement project.

Work to demolish the eastern side of the bridge was completed in August 2023. The next phase of work is taking place this autumn and includes removing the bridge deck, followed by the top section of supportive structures at either side of the bridge.

Craig Ebbrell, who lives on Broomgrove Lane, just beside the carriageway, has claimed his car has been left covered in dust due to the ongoing works which he fears will damage his paintwork.
