Brother convicted of killing 'nuisance" ex-partner of sister

A MAN has been found guilty of manslaughter after knifing his sister's 'nuisance' ex to death.

Liam Fosbrook repeatedly stabbed 35-year-old Dylan Towers after he kept turning up at his sibling's house, despite a court order banning him from contacting her.

A trial heard Dylan went to the house in Stockport in the early hours of December 17, 2021, and was confronted by Fosbrook outside. After a brief exchange, he stabbed Dylan, who later died from his injuries in hospital.

Fosbrook, from Wythenshawe, denied manslaughter. Following a two-week trial at Minshull Street Crown Court, he was convicted by a jury. He was previously cleared of murder following an earlier trial. Those proceedings can only now be reported now the second trial has concluded.

The relationship between Dylan and Fosbrook's sister had ended, but he continued to 'harass and pester her'

"Dylan was clearly a nuisance, but he was not dangerous," prosecutor Neil Fryman told jurors.

Dylan was made the subject of an exclusion order, prohibiting him from contacting Fosbrook's sister or going near her home in Offerton. He breached the order on a number of occasions between June and August 2021 by turning up at her house.
