
The black Toyota smashed into the front of Lily’s Vegetarian in Ashton-under-Lyne shortly before noon yesterday.
Firefighters were called to the scene in Oldham Road following the incident.
While the driver of the car escaped unharmed, a female pedestrian suffered minor injuries. The popular eatery was open at the time of the crash, but no customers or staff were hurt.
Restaurant boss Ritesh Sachdev described the incident as an ‘accident’.
