A KILLER who shot his half-brother dead in the street has been jailed for life.
Rumaal Ingram, 36, opened fire in Openshaw after meeting up with Zikel Bobmanuel.
A single bullet was fired into the ground, before it ‘fragmented’ and ricocheted, hitting 32-year-old Mr Bobmanuel in the neck and killing him.
Ingram denied intending to kill or seriously harm his half-brother, claiming he had brought the gun to ‘threaten’ and firing it as a ‘warning’ shot to ‘scare’ him.
Ingram was acquitted of murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard that the shooting followed a row over trainers.
The pair had met just before 2pm on Saturday, March 25, last year on Welland Street.
It followed a dispute between Mr Bobmanuel, whose youngest child was just weeks old at the time of his death and a third man, Emmanuel Onasanya.
Mr Onasanya ran a business on Instagram, cleaning trainers for a fee.
He met Ingram through that venture and then came into contact with Mr Bobmanuel, cleaning trainers belonging to both men.
