A VULNERABLE woman collapsed several times in her home after her landlord failed to fix her faulty heating that remained permanently on full for months over summer, a watchdog has revealed.
A housing association has now been ordered to apologise and pay her £1,000 in compensation after an official investigation into her treatment.
The Housing Ombudsman said it found 'severe maladministration' on the part of Onward Homes, which has properties across Greater Manchester and the north west.
The woman, who has a progressive neurological condition which affects her speech and movement, was found collapsed in her flat by her son on numerous occasions due to overheating and, shockingly, the situation lasted for four months.
