A TEENAGER who woke up blind just weeks after meeting her new boyfriend said she is grateful she got to see him before her eyesight deteriorated.
Kitty Hinde, 19, from Manchester, who has been visually impaired for most of her life due to glaucoma, said the experience has brought them "much closer".
Kitty met Sam, 22, a sound engineer, in a nightclub in May 2023.
When he found out about her deteriorating eyesight, he was supportive.
She said: "I never thought I'd fall in love blind.
"I met my boyfriend at the same time I was losing my vision. I was blind a few weeks into meeting him.
