As Luke, aged just 16, lost in the World Darts Championship final to Luke Humphries at the 'Ally Pally' in London, 200 miles further north family, friends and supporters were full of pride at the local just around the corner from teenager home in Padgate, Warrington. His older brother Leon, 20, works behind the bar, but he had the night off to watch Luke.
The teenager lost out 7-4 to Humphries, who was the pre-tournament favourite, in the final at the Alexandra Palace.
The United fan had already made history by becoming the youngest person to ever reach the final - and pocketed £200,000 for finishing runner-up.
At The Millhouse, throughout the match, Luke's name rang out as the game ebbed and flowed. Finally, the local lad lost out, but everyone in the pub was sure of one thing: that he will be back.
