Peter Adenuga, from Manchester, was more than twice the alcohol limit when his car hit the group as they stopped to speak to a taxi driver.
One of the teenagers was left with a bleed on the brain and fractures to the skull, shoulder and elbow.
A second suffered a dislocated knee, broken hip and fractures to the face. The other two escaped with cuts and grazes.
The group was walking down Budworth Road, Northwich, Cheshire, at 1 1.30pm on July 16, 2022, when Adenuga of Greengage, Ardwick, slammed into four of the five pedestrians who had stopped.
