Hannah Hill was 18 when her life was turned upside down by a devastating brain tumour diagnosis. The teenager suffered a sudden seizure and was taken to Wigan Royal Albert Infirmary, where scans detected the sinister mass growing inside her brain.
She underwent brain surgery to remove the tumour on September 27, 2006, two days before her 19th birthday. During this procedure, a glioblastoma was discovered - an aggressive form of brain cancer with an average life expectancy of 14 to 16 months. The disease left Hannah with a minuscule 1 percent chance of survival after 10 years - but 17 years later, the 36-year-old mum is still going strong.
