A MUM has issued a heartbreaking appeal after her son died 15 years after being stabbed in the neck and 'left for dead! Christopher Linton, inset right, who went by the name Chris, died aged 40 from medical complications believed to be directly linked to the assault.
Greater Manchester Police has since launched a murder investigation into Chris' death. The assault took place in the early hours of Saturday, October 4 2008, after Chris left the Derby Arms pub on Bolton Road in Bury. While walking along Bolton Road, he began talking to two women, near to the Blockbuster Video store. The two women then got into a black car with two men and, as Chris continued to speak to them, he was stabbed in the neck by one of the men.
