A HEARTBROKEN mum has told of her ‘soul destroying’ 17-month wait for answers after the tragic death of her son who was living in a mental health facility.
Joanne Tyrrell, from Blackley, lost her 28-year-old son Niall on May 2 last year following a mental health battle. Ahead of a full inquest into his death at Manchester Coroners Court, Joanne and daughter Kiera have bravely spoken about the turmoil their family are facing every day in the wait for some clarity.
Dad-of-two Niall, who turned to social media to share his mental health struggles in a bid to help others, did not even get to see his youngest son celebrate his first birthday when he died. After his passing, he was remembered in heartfelt tributes as a ‘prankster’ and the ‘life of the party’.
“Nothing will bring him back,” Joanne told the M.E.N. “We will go to this inquest for answers but nothing will be the same for us again.
