FREDDIE Flintoff has been seen in a new trailer for his upcoming BBC cricket series in which he tells how his horror Top Gear smash nearly derailed the entire project.
The former Lancashire star had planned to take the team of noncricketers he created for the Field of Dreams series two years ago, on a tour to India.
But in the new series, which starts this month, Freddie admits that the whole trip was nearly cancelled.
Referring to the accident, in December 2022, which left him needing months of recovery from serious facial injuries, Freddie says in the first episode: "But something happened which changed my life forever."
