IDENTICAL twin brothers whose lives were marred by grief, tragedy and abuse took their own lives side-by-side at the two-bed flat they shared.

History had tragically repeated itself after Paul and Peter Geill's parents committed suicide when the twins were children.

Little is known of their lives, but a neighbour on the fourth floor of the Seven Sisters tower block in Rochdale, where they'd lived since 2016, described the brothers as "cheerful and pleasant", although others said they were always by themselves.

The brothers had five siblings, but following their deaths, police could only track down two of them, and only one was able to give a brief history of the twins' lives.
