Atishi's hunger strike ends as her health deteriorates, admitted to ICU

Atishi, who holds multiple portfolios in the Delhi government, was admitted to the emergency ICU at Lok Nayak Hospital. Her condition is now stable, and doctors anticipate a recovery period of a few days.

Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva extended well wishes to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader but also accused her of misleading the public.

Updating on Atishi's condition, the hospital's Medical Director, Dr Suresh Kumar, confirmed that she remains in the ICU but is stable.

"She was advised to be hospitalised on Monday evening after her sugar levels dropped and ketones were detected in her urine. She initially declined hospitalisation. However, as her condition worsened around midnight, she became drowsy and was subsequently admitted. She is currently stable and conscious, with all necessary tests showing normal results," Dr Kumar explained.
