PM Modi rakes up Godhra train arson, dynastic politics to attack Oppn parties

DARBHANGA (BIHAR)/ PALAMU (JHARKHAND): With just a day to go for the curtains to come down on the campaigning for the May 7 third phase of Lok Sabha elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday sharpened his attack on Opposition parties, raking up issues of national security, dynastic politics and corruption.

Addressing an election rally in Palamu in Jharkhand, PM Modi raised national security pitch to attack Congress, saying the party was “coward’’ as its government used to weep on global platforms after terrorist attacks. He said the situation had changed under the BJP rule and Pakistan was now “weeping and screaming’’ for help.

Referring to the previous UPA regime, PM Modi said earlier governments used to send “love letters to Pakistan’’ in the hope of peace, but the neighbouring country used to send more terrorists in response.

“Today’s India does not give dossiers. This is New India, “ghar mein ghus ke marta hai”, he told the gathering.
