The Central government on Tuesday cleared the appointments of Justices N Kotiswar Singh and R Mahadevan as judges of the Supreme Court. With their swearing-in, the apex court will regain its sanctioned strength of 34 judges, including the Chief Justice.
CJI D Y Chandrachud is likely to administer the oath of office to the two judges on Thursday.
