MUMBAI: After a week of Maharashtra assembly poll results which gave a landslide majority to the BJP-led Mahayuti alliance, a decision on the next Maharashtra Chief Minister is still pending. The decision will be taken during a meeting of the BJP legislative party on Monday, said Shiv Sena chief and caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Sunday.
"This government is the people's government. I have clarified my role. The honourable Prime Minister and the honourable Home Minister will take the final decision on (Chief Minister). They (BJP MLAs) are meeting on Monday. It will be decided. Don't worry," he told the media.
