The Nifty gained 1.08% or 195 points to close at 18264.40, while the Sensex rose by 1.16% (709.96 points) to end at 61764.25. FIIs have been instrumental in driving the market up 8.5% from 20 March’s low of 16828 to Monday’s closing. They have purchased shares worth ₹26,333 crore so far this fiscal, after selling ₹37,632 crore in FY23 and ₹1.4 trillion in FY22.
