Media technology firm Amagi is in talks with new and existing investors to raise as much as $250 million in a new funding round, three people with knowledge of the company's plans said. The company plans to use the fresh capital for growth ahead of its planned public share sale in the next 12-24 months, the people said on condition of anonymity.
The funding round gains importance at a time when deal flow has dried up with global macroeconomic issues impacting liquidity in the market, especially for tech-led startups.
The company, that was valued at $1.4 billion when it raised more than $100 million from investors led by General Atlantic last year, is looking to raise capital for its inorganic growth plans.
