PHILADELPHIA, PA, December 23, 2022— Philadelphia-based Milano Di Rouge (MDR) fashion brand CEO/Owner Milan Harris presented five women from various neighborhoods in Philadelphia who have lost children due to gun violence with a day of health and wellness.

The women spent the day at Live! Casino & Hotel Philadelphia, where they received breakfast, hair and makeup makeovers, lunch, group discussions, a visit to a spa, and of course, gifts from MDR.

Several weeks ago, Ms. Harris approached Councilmember Johnson, chairman of City Council’s Special Committee on Gun Violence Prevention, with the idea of giving a select number of women from throughout Philadelphia--who have lost loved ones to gun violence-a special day before the start of Christmas.

As the holidays and end of the year approaches, many people experience the recurrence of grief as they remember happy times with a deceased loved one.

Just once, amid all the times that reporters asked President Joe Biden whether he would give a pardon to his son Hunter, who was facing a possible federal prison sentence, I wish I could have heard Jolly Joe give the sort of response that the late Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley offered to such unwelcome questions.
