AIR POLLUTION CRISIS IN DELHI AND NCR

The winter months in Delhi have become synonymous with a toxic smog that blankets the city, severely impacting public health and daily life. In November 2024, the 24-hour average AQI in Delhi reached alarming levels, peaking at 444 on Tuesday, November 19, before slightly improving to 419 the next day. However, these levels remain far above the "severe" threshold of 400, indicating widespread adverse effects on health.

Prominent areas such as Anand Vihar (AQI 406), Jahangirpuri (437), and Ashok Vihar (416) recorded some of the worst air quality readings.
