The 30-share B SE Sensex dropped 887.64 points or 1.31 per cent, settling at 66,684.26. It had plummeted even further during the day, losing 1,038.16 points or 1.53 per cent to reach 66,533.74. The NSE Nifty fell by 234.15 points or 1.17 per cent, closing at 19,745, putting an end to its six-day winning streak. Notably, 36 Nifty shares ended in the negative territory while 14 advanced.
