The Supreme Court in the case Zeeshan Haider v. Directorate of Enforcement observed and has raised concerns over listing of bail petition in a money laundering case under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act, PMLA before the scheduled date, which being in violation of its prior order.
The bench comprising of Justice Abhay Oka and Justice Augustine George Masih was hearing the present matter.
The bench in the case observed and has focused on how the case was earlier than it is being directed by the court.
The bench headed by Justice Oka remarked that, 'Somebody in custody makes an attempt to get matter listed in the said manner, this court needs to be very careful about it.' It has also been observed by the court that an explanation from the Registry, sought in a previous order, was still not on record.
