The BJP led Haryana government is planning to organize a mega event in Panipat on December 9 to mark the first visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the assembly elections.

During the visit, the prime minister will launch the national Bima Sakhi Yojana and he will also "virtually" lay the foundation stone of the Maharana Pratap Horticulture University Karnal, main campus, to be constructed over 65 acres with an estimated cost of 400 crore.

Party insiders said that the BJP leadership in the state is planning to mobilize a huge gathering at the event.
