LEH: Over 67% polling was recorded in Ladakh on Monday to decide the fate of three candidates in the fray for the lone Lok Sabha seat in the UT, officials said in Leh.
They added the voter turnout in Kargil was 71.45% and 62.50% in Leh.
Spread over 59,000 sqkm around 40 times the size of Delhi Ladakh is the largest parliamentary constituency in India in terms of area and covers the two districts of Leh and Kargil. According to the EC, the overall poll percentage was 67.15.
The constituency recorded a 71.05% turnout in 2019.
Lieutenant Governor Brig (Dr) BD Mishra (retd) and his wife Neelam Mishra were among those who cast their votes at Skara Yokma in Leh.
