Adani Foundation empowers tribal communities

Adani Foundation, the philanthropic arm of India's corporate giant Adani Group, has been driving significant changes in the remotest tribal areas of Umarpada taluka, Surat, for the past three years.

Through integrated efforts, the foundation has implemented various programs to uplift local tribal communities, focusing on agriculture, employment, health, and income generation.

In the last month alone, numerous initiatives have been launched to address the unique challenges faced by the residents of this mountainous and rain-fed region.

Farmers have been equipped with solar-powered water pumps and high-quality seeds and fertilizers, reducing costs and increasing agricultural productivity.

The installation of a solar water pump on a bore-well in Dhanavad village, for instance, has quintupled the income of 20 farmers by ensuring year-round irrigation.
