Assam CM and BJP's Jharkhand in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma on Friday announced the seat-sharing deal for next month's assembly election in Jharkhand. The elections are scheduled to be held on November 13 and 20.
Speaking to the Press at the party's headquarters in Ranchi, Sarma said BJP had sealed a deal with All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU), JD(U) and LJP(RV) of Union Minister Chirag Paswan for the upcoming Jharkhand assembly election.
Out of the 81 assembly seats, the AJSU would fight on 10 seats while JD(U) would contest on two seats and Chirag Paswan-led Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) on one seat. BJP would contest on the remaining 68 seats.
The AJSU had been allocated 10 seats - Silli, Ramgarh, Ichagarh, Mandu, Jugsalai, Dumri, Pakur, Lohardagga, Manoharpur and Gomia. JD(U) would contest from Jamshedpur (West) and LJP(RV) from Chatra.
