Cabinet Okays 9 Municipal Corporations

In a significant move to enhance Gujarat's development, the state government's first cabinet meeting of the year has given in-principle approval to form 9 new municipal corporations.

Now, Mehsana, Morbi, Navsari, Surendranagar, Gandhidham, Vapi and Anand, Nadiad, Porbandar will now become municipal corporations.

Gujarat has Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Gandhinagar, and Bhavnagar as municipal corporations. With the addition of nine more municipal corporations, the number of total municipal corporations in the state will be at 17 and 149 municipalities.

Gujarat's development is increasing day by day, in which talukas have started increasing and along with that the population has also started increasing. The state government is also taking important decisions in the economic, social, educational and other matters happening in the state.
