Congress accuses Mahayuti of tweaking tender norms

The Congress on Friday accused the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra of tailoring tender conditions to benefit select companies, allegedly in exchange for electoral donations. The party claimed this resulted in a loss of at least Rs 10,903 crore to taxpayers, as the state paid double the cost per kilometre of road construction compared to other states and the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI).
