Gajare is the son of a farmer from Akola. He studied at JCI School, Karanja Lad, from Class 5 to 10. Crediting his parents for his achievement, he said, "Many a time when I scored low on a test, they would encourage me to prepare well for the next one. My family has also faced financial challenges. My parents have often set aside their needs in order to help me continue my studies."
