The performance report for the calendar year indicated that 29 cases of murder and a similar number of attempted murders were detected alongside 100 out of 106 rape cases. Similarly, all registered cases of dacoity and robbery were solved. In all, 174 out of 180 heinous cases were detected this year.
The department's detection rate for total Indian Penal Code cases was recorded at 87.98 per cent with 2,096 registered cases solved as of December 29, 2024. Besides, 250 cases led to convictions by October 2024.
