Based on this system, the top-ranked department will get a memento, citation and a research and infrastructure grant ranging from Rs5 to 25 lakh.
The top-ranking department in science will get a research grant of Rs15 lakh; the secondranked one will get a grant of Rs7 lakh.
Rs5 lakh will be awarded to the top-ranking Centre of Studies, while the one at No. 2 will get Rs2 lakh.
Humanities, commerce and management departments ranking second will get a grant of Rs5 lakh.
Top-ranking departments in other categories will receive a grant of Rs10 lakh while those ranking No. 2 will get Rs5 lakh.
