The ceremony will be held on August 23 at Pt. Deendayal Auditorium, Science College Ground.
The department in a statement said that State Sports Awards Shahid Rajiv Pandey Award, Shahid Kaushal Yadav Award, Veer Hanuman Singh Award, Shahid Pankaj Vikram Samman, Shahid Vinod Choubey Samman and Chief Minister Trophy will be given.
As per the list released for Shahid Rajiv Pandey Award for year 2021-22, the players are P Ashish Kumar (Durg- Softball), Kumari Chitra (Durg- Handballo, Mona Patel (Durg-Fencing) and Vijay Kumar (Raipur-Weightlifting). In Non-Olympic sports, D Parth (Rajnandgaon-Wushu) and Para sports Harihar Singh Rajput (Kabirdham- Wheelchair Fencing).
For 2022-23 the players are Beeru Bagh (Raipur-Softball), Reshu Sahu (Bilaspur-Fencing) and Preeti Sahu (Raipur-Handball). Para-Sports-Ishwari Nishad (Mahasamund-Para-athletics).
Shahid Kaushal Yadav Award for year 2022-23 are Bhavesh Sarag (Raipur-Weightlifting), Himanshu Netam (Durg-Fencing), Gitesh Yadav (Korba-Archery), and D. Kirit (Durg- Basketball).
