NTPC to invest in Andhra Pradesh's renewable energy

Andhra Pradesh is set to witness a transformative phase in its renewable energy sector with NTPC Limited. Under its subsidiary, NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL), the company signed a strategic agreement with the state government's New and Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP). This partnership aims to bolster Andhra Pradesh's renewable energy infrastructure with an investment of Rs. 1,87,000 crore.

As part of the agreement, over the next 25 years, the state is projected to earn approximately Rs. 20,620 crore through this initiative, where the projects will generate employment opportunities for about 1,06,250 individuals, contributing significantly to economic development.
