The deceased's wife Devika Chandrakar and neighbour and astrologer Mukund Tripathi have been arrested for the murder. The search of Devika's mother is on, who assisted them to dispose the body.
Police said Devika Chandrakar, a teacher by profession, came to Mahasamund Kotwali police station on December 14, 2023 and informed that her husband was missing since December 8. The police declared him a missing person and started investigation. After 6 months, the police came to know that the applicant often talked to her neighbor on mobile. The police took out the call details of the applicant's mobile.
