The Union cabinet's approval of the Integral Ring Metro Rail Project (IRMRP) in Thane has sparked positive sentiment in the city's real estate sector. The project, led by Maharashtra Metro Railway Corporation Limited (MMRCL), marks its first greenfield venture in the metropolitan region and is set to revolutionise urban mobility and real estate in Thane. The 29km metro corridor, with an investment of Rs12,200.10 crore, is scheduled to commence operations by 2029.
