RTO server down, driving test disrupted

Thousands of vehicle driving test applicants across Gujarat were left frustrated on Thursday due to a server outage that disrupted operations in 38 Regional Transport Offices (RTOs), including Ahmedabad.
RTO server down, driving test disrupted

The server downtime, caused by an issue with the National Informatics Centre (NIC), has impacted applicants statewide, with no tests being conducted in Ahmedabad on Friday as well. Authorities are expected to announce on Friday whether the situation will be resolved in time for tests to resume on Saturday.

All driving test appointments scheduled for Thursday and Friday have been rescheduled due to the ongoing technical issues. Many applicants who arrived at RTO offices on Thursday morning, unaware of the problem, were turned away without prior notice. Ahmedabad's three RTOs alone canceled over 500 appointments, while more than 4,000 applicants were affected across the state.
