SEIZE BHOODAN LANDS & DISTRIBUTE TO DESERVING POOR, GOVT TOLD

They announced that they will continue the land grant struggle until all the poor get land. The 74th Bhudan Day' was held at Desoddaraka Bhavan, under the auspices of the National Committee of Akhil Bharat Sarvaseva Sangh.

Family members of Bhudan Lands Doners have demanded that the State government immediately set up a new Bhudana Yajna Board (governing board) and give it judicial powers. The Bhudan Yagna Board should be formed with the representatives recommended by Akhil Bharat Sarva Seva Sangh. They also asked that steps be taken to complete the Bhudan lands donation movement process by distributing the lands collected through the lands donation movement to the deserving poor.

They expressed their grief that the aim of the land-grant fighters of those days to distribute land to the landless poor has not been fulfilled even today, and no matter how many governments come, they do not care about the distribution of Bhudan lands. They claimed that the real tribute to the land grantees was to provide the remaining half lakh acres of land donation lands in the State to the poor.
