Shivaji Park readies for Dr Ambedkar followers coming from across country

The BMC has made elaborate arrangements at Dadar's Shivaji Park for the followers of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, who will be coming from across India to observe his 68th death anniversary tomorrow (December 6).

Shivaji Park readies for Dr Ambedkar followers coming from across country

The civic body has deployed over 8,000 personnel and erected a temporary shelter in a pavilion sprawling 1 lakh sq ft.

People in lakhs will visit Chaityabhoomi in Dadar to offer their prayers to Babasaheb. Apart from the security, the BMC will provide basic amenities like food, water, sanitation and health services to the visitors.

Last year, around five lakh people visited the Shivaji Park from December 1 to 7.
