Tilak bridge too close for comfort

While Mumbaikars are yet to recover from the ongoing ordeal caused by the misalignment between the Gokhale bridge and the Barfiwala flyover, a new engineering plight has left Dadar residents literally choking. A pier of the under-construction Tilak bridge has been constructed so close to the Vishnu Niwas building, West, that the Dadar residents fear that the actual structure will pass through their homes. The gap between the mammoth column and the 88-year-old commercialcum-residential tenement is just two inches.
