'Tough pill to swallow'

Indian captain Rohit Sharma gets philosophical about team's historic 3-0 series loss to NZ; Looks forward to Australia series

India skipper Rohit Sharma was understandably a dejected man with the team's horrendous performance and stated it was a tough pill to swallow.

"Winning WC to getting whitewashed: It's tough, no doubt. It tells you that nothing is easy in life. One day you are on a high and one day you are not. This is something that I learnt about life at a very young age and I don't get carried away. Life is not just about highs, it's about lows as well."

I've seen a lot through my career but something like this will be a low point in my career. Having lost three games in a row. The responsibility of being a captain and a leader. I have not been at the best of my ability right from the start of the series and even with the bat I haven't been good enough," he said.
