Both Sena (UBT) and NCP (Pawar) promise to do away with GST on agri items, decentralise power, curb tax terrorism and strengthen the federal structure
'VACHANNAMA' & 'SHAPATHNAMA'

● NCP (SP) promises immediate implementation of 50% quota for women in the Lok Sabha, state assemblies & govt jobs

Even as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is attacking the INDIA bloc as being 'anti-development' and 'anti-farmer', the Shiv Sena-UBT and NCP-SP released their separate manifestos for the Lok Sabha elections on the eve of polling in eight constituencies slated for Friday.

The manifestos focus on the empowerment of farmers, accelerating development across all sections, protection and strengthening of the federal structure, decentralisation of power and reforms in the existing GST system.

Incidentally, both have also promised to restore Maharashtra's glory lost in the rule of the BJP-led government at the Centre and the Shiv SenaBJP-NCP alliance government in the state.

Shiv Sena-UBT has promised to stabilise prices of five essential commodities for five years while the NCP-SP has promised to supply gas cylinders at Rs 500 each. It has also promised a loan waiver. The NCP-SP has said a census will be conducted every five years, to ensure fair and accurate representation of all caste demographics, which will enable targeted policy-making.
